June CYNW Meeting

Please join us on Wednesday, June 7th for our next Cooper Young Neighborhood Watch meeting! We’ll meet at The Hub in First Congo at 6:30 p.m. with yummy refreshments from Central Barbecue, and then we’ll settle in for the business agenda starting promptly at 7 p.m. sharp. There’s a lot to cover at this meeting, including post-grant organizational structure for the NW, recent robberies and burglaries, next steps for the camera program, and new projects for crime deterrence. Hope to see you there!!!

Grant Close-Out

We are pleased to report that as of April 28, 2017, the six CYNW zones all submitted their grant close-out reports to the City of Memphis, officially ending the one-year grant cycle that funded the launch of the camera program! We remain grateful to the City of Memphis for its partnership and confidence in us. It has been our pleasure to work with the greater Memphis Area Neighborhood Watch program, and we were honored to be a partĀ of the inaugural group of grant award recipients. Now that the grant cycle is over, the CYNW prepares to embark upon a new chapter of growth and innovation. As we continue on with private funding through local donations, we hope to see our neighbors pitching in and helping out even more with lots of new new projects. Thanks again to the City of Memphis for a great year!
